Dancers’ Alley, Owner

The discipline, focus, energy, commitment, and dedication that is taught and required in a ballet class carries over to every other aspect of a dancer’s life. I’ve owned Dancers’ Alley in Jefferson City for 18 years. “Excellence in dance – and inspiring young people to be their best.” At the studio, I coordinate a team of professional like-minded instructors, manage all aspects of the business, teach, choreograph, and direct. It is a privilege to train young people in the art of dance and watch many grow into talented, accomplished, confident young people.

Growing up in Columbia I studied ballet with Halcyone Perlman and Michael Simms. I received my B.F.A in Dance from Stephens College in 1982 and continued professional training in London, England, and New York City. I have taught, performed, and choreographed locally for over 40 years. Robert and I have been married 34 years. We live just outside of Columbia and enjoy our little house in the woods, our gardens, cats, new puppy, chickens… and love family dinners on the weekends with our son, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren!
